100% of the donations made to the Governor Mifflin Area Lions Club or raised through fundraising goes back out to help those that need it.

Throughout the year our club holds several fundraisers that allow us to provide the many financial contributions that we provide to both local and global organizations.

We truly could not accomplish as much as we do without the support of our community through our fundraising efforts.

Financial Impact

  • Vision Services

    Governor Mifflin Area Lions Club provides financial support to anyone in our community in need of vision services or glasses that cannot afford one. If you are not in our service area, or do not qualify for our financial services we always provide you with a resource that can assist you.

  • Scholarships

    Each year we provide two scholarships to graduating seniors in the Governor Mifflin School District. These scholarships are selected by the school and maty be used for the students’ post-graduate education.

  • Local Donations

    Our club provides several annual donations to local organizations as a part of our local mission. Some of the annual donations include Mifflin Food Bank, Grace Lutheran Food Bank, Mifflin Community Library, Local Fire Companies, and Governor Mifflin School District Initiatives.

  • Disability Donations

    Our club also provides several annual donations to organizations that provide services for individuals with a variety of disabilities. Of these organizations are Vision Resource Center, Keystone Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Beacon Lodge Camp, Eye Bank of Delaware, Special Olympics, and Campabilities.

  • Other Donations

    There are several other organizations and initiatives that we provide financial donations to. These include Berks Military Museum, Autism Society, Literary Council, Mary’s Shelter, Crime Alert, and Disaster Relief Initiatives.
